Repair works at the Pavlodar-Shymkent main oil pipeline section completed ahead of schedule

 09.06.2021    424
Despite the COVID-19 epidemic in the country, all production facilities of the Zhezkazgan Oil Pipeline are operating in standard mode. The planned production commitments are being kept. The pipeline maintenance depots service the «Kumkol-Karakoin» section from 0 km to 198.9 km and the «Pavlodar-Shymkent» section from 846.6 km to 1210.6 km of the main oil pipeline.

«According to the 2021 plan, 33 defects of the Pavlodar-Shymkent main oil pipeline between the 1108.4 km and 1210.6 km were to be repaired in the third and fourth quarters of this year. As a result of the efficient use of the planned downtime of the oil refinery owned by Petro Kazakhstan Oil Products LLP in Shymkent, the work to eliminate the pipeline defects began ahead of schedule. This resulted in the pipeline maintenance depots successfully completing the works also ahead of schedule. «All of the identified defects during the in-line diagnostics at the «Pavlodar-Shymkent» section of the main oil pipeline were eliminated. All of the works were carried out in compliance with the technical procedures of oil pipeline repairs and occupational and fire safety,» the deputy head of the Zhezkazgan oil pipeline department Erbol Uteubaev said.

The works from the 2021 valve opening and closing schedule of the «Pavlodar-Shymkent» main oil pipeline were also completed.
