«KazTransOil» JSC Groups completed the construction of a bridge to the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline

The first launch complex of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline reverse project was put into operation at the Oil Pumping Station named after N. Shmanov. The General Director of «KazTransOil» JSC, Dimash Dossanov, took part remotely in the presentation of the commissioning of two-line connecting pipeline from the N. Shmanov Oil Pumping Station to the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline.

«The country leaders has set us the task of timely commissioning the reverse project of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline, the implementation of which will increase the pipeline's capacity to 6 million tons per year. We need to make every effort to complete the construction by the end of this year», - said Dimash Dossanov during an online broadcast.

Reverse project is one of the stages of construction and development of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline system. Now the Kenkiyak-Atyrau pipeline is used to supply crude oil in the western direction. After the reverse is completed, it will be possible to connect more West Kazakhstan fields with the country's refineries: PetroKazakhstan oil products LLP and Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, as well as with the export routs (by Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline, railroad tank loading terminal at the Shagyr Oil Pumping Station).

«As part of the first launch complex, the construction of a two-line bridge from the N. Shmanov Oil Refinery Station to the Kenkiyak-Atyrau Oil Pipeline has been completed, as well as the reconstruction of the linear part of the pipeline. Putting the facility into operation will increase the monthly volume of oil pumping in the reverse direction, and also ensure stable supply of the country's refineries and export of Kazakhstan's oil to China», - said General Director of «Munaytas» LLP Maksat Khalimov.

The reverse project is divided into two launch complexes. To date, completed work on the first starting complex of the project, which carried out the construction of the twin bridge of the pipeline with a total length of 6.5 km from the Head Oil Refining Station named after N.Shmanov to the Atyrau-Kenkiyak oil pipeline; the reconstruction of the facilities of MunaiTas LLP on the territory of the Oil Refining Station named after T.Kasymov, Oil Refining Station named after Kenkiyak, Start-up and reception nodes for cleaning devices on 226 km of linear part of Atyrau-Kenkiyak Oil Pipeline with regard to communication systems, telecommunications and SCADA.

KazTransOil JSC is the national operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the main oil pipeline. It is part of the group of companies of NC KazMunayGas JSC. It owns a diversified network of main oil pipelines with a length of 5.4 thousand km. Production facilities of KazTransOil JSC are located in Shymkent, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Turkestan, North Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Almaty and Aktobe regions of Kazakhstan. It transports oil to Kazakhstan's refineries and for export in 5 directions: the Atyrau – Samara and Kazakhstan-China pipelines, the port of Aktau (loading oil into tankers), the railway (loading into tanks), and transshipment to the CPC system.
