The XXII meeting of the Board of the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT) took place today in Almaty.
One of the main issues on the agenda of the meeting was the approval of the annual report of the IAOT for 2023, including the annual financial statements and the audit report of the IAOT for 2023. A regular report on the activities of the permanent expert group «Efficient, reliable and safe operation of trunk pipeline systems» created in 2019 was also presented.
Until now, four permanent expert groups have functioned on an ongoing basis within the IAOT - on legal issues, energy efficiency, oil supplies and the operation of oil pipelines. An important decision made today by IAOT participants was the creation of a new permanent expert group on risk management.
Also, during the meeting, representatives of member companies determined the period for the next international competition «Best in Profession». The traditional oil pipeline competition will be held in 2025 at the production facilities of PJSC Transneft (Russian Federation) in Tumen city.
In addition, during the meeting, issues of participation in international industry events, training of youth and middle technical management and other working issues were discussed.
IAOT was established in 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic, as an international voluntary, non-profit, non-governmental organization. Its goal is to support members of the association engaged in business activities in the field of transportation of oil and petroleum products, as well as effective coordination of the efforts of members of the association to create the most favorable operating conditions.
Since 2015, KazTransOil JSC has been a member of the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT).
