KazTransOil will save more than 18 million tenge annually as a result of the modernization of a unit at the Kenkiyak Main Oil Pumping Station

KazTransOil JSC successfully completed the modernization of unit No. 14 at the Kenkiyak main oil pumping station of the Aktobe Oil Pipeline Department from May 13 to 15, 2025. These activities are aimed at increasing production efficiency and reducing operating costs.

The project included the installation of electric ball valves with a leakage control system on a 530 mm diameter pressure pipeline. This technical solution allows for the separate pumping of oil by NM 1250/260 pumping units along the Kenkiyak-Atyrau main oil pipeline in the AVERS mode.

The expected economic effect is a reduction in operating costs by more than 18 million tenge annually.

Key results of the reconstruction:

• Increased energy efficiency due to optimization of pump units;
• Reduction in energy consumption while maintaining the same transportation volumes;
• Reduction in maintenance and repair costs due to the decommissioning of obsolete equipment and auxiliary infrastructure.
