Due to the current restrictions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the next meeting of the IAOT participating countries was held in the format of a videoconference. The agenda included the activities of permanent expert groups on energy efficiency, supply, operation and legal issues. The participants heard information about a round table on digitalization of capital construction in the pipeline industry held under the auspices of the IAOT, and exchanged views on improving efficiency, quality and safety through digital transformation in the design and construction of facilities.
Also during the online meeting, it was decided that in 2022 the international competition »The Best in Profession» will be held at the facilities of Gomeltransneft Druzhba JSC.
The International Association of Oil Transporters was formed in 2013 to assist in coordinating efforts to effectively develop the oil transportation systems of participating companies and strengthen the stability of international oil transportation. The issues of tariff formation, diagnostics, operation of oil pipelines, storage of oil (petroleum products), development of strategic steps related to the transportation of oil in the Eurasian space are discussed within the framework of the activities of the IAOT.
