Batumi Sea Port LLC and KazAzot JSC came to an agreement to increase the volume of ammonium nitrate transshipment of KazAzot JSC through Batumi Sea Port LLC. The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the companies as part of the development of entrepreneurial activity and international cooperation, the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
Batumi Sea Port LLC first shipped Kazakhstani ammonium nitrate, the shipper of which was KazAzot JSC, in March 2024. The mineral fertilizer is shipped from the port of Aktau towards the port of Govsan (Azerbaijan) with further transshipment in the seaport of Batumi (Georgia), where it is then sent for subsequent export to world markets. In 2024, Batumi Sea Port LLC provided supplies of 37.6 thousand tons of Kazakh ammonium nitrate along the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
