«KazTransOil» JSC transported 9.8 million tons of crude in Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022 the volume of oil transported through the oil pipeline system of «KazTransOil» JSC amounted to 9 million 758 thousand tons, which is 480 thousand tons less than in the same period of 2021.

The cargo turnover of oil separately through the system of main oil pipelines of «KazTransOil» JSC amounted to 8 billion 360 thousand ton-kilometers, which is 296 million ton-kilometers less than in the first quarter of 2021.

The consolidated oil turnover of «KazTransOil» JSC increased by 92 million ton-kilometers compared to the same indicator last year and amounted to 10 billion 760 million ton-kilometers. 

4 million 348 tons of oil was transported to the refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the oil pipeline system of «KazTransOil» JSC, which is 279 thousand tons of oil more than the volumes of January-March 2021.

1 million 315 thousand tons was delivered to Atyrau Oil Refinery, PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP - 1 million 478 thousand tons, Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant - 1 million 403 thousand tons, JV Caspi Bitumen LLP - 152 thousand tons.

The volume of oil transported through the Atyrau-Samara section of the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline in Q1 2022 amounted to 2 million 267 thousand tons, which is 1 million 27 thousand tons less than the result of the first quarter of 2021.

2 million 655 thousand tons of oil was transported through the TON-2 oil pipeline section located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is 11 thousand tons less than the same indicator for 2021.

2 million 760 thousand tons of oil was shipped through the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline. The indicator increased by 236 thousand tons compared to the first quarter in 2021.

The volume of oil shipment to the system of Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K JSC amounted to 164 thousand tons, which is 22 thousand tons more than in January-March 2021. Oil loading into tankers in the port of Aktau amounted to 489 thousand tons, which is 38 thousand tons less than last year.

4 million 703 thousand tons were transported through the oil pipeline system of Kazakhstan-Chinese Pipeline LLP, which is 614 thousand tons more than in the first quarter of 2021. Cargo turnover amounted to 4 billion 270 million ton-kilometers, which is 645 million ton-kilometers more when compared to the corresponding period last year.

The volume of oil transportation via the MunaiTas LLP oil pipeline increased by 345 thousand tons compared to the first quarter of 2021 and amounted to 1,288 thousand tons. Cargo turnover increased by 129 million ton-kilometers, amounting to 519 million ton-kilometers.

According to the Batumi Oil Terminal LLC group of companies and Petrotrans Limited, the volume of oil, petroleum products and gas shipment in January-March 2022 amounted to 478 thousand tons, which is 85 thousand tons more than in the same period of 2021.

The Main Water Pipeline LLP supplied 6.5 million cubic meters of fresh water to its consumers in Atyrau and Mangystau regions of Kazakhstan via the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water pipeline. This marks an increase in the volume of water supply compared to the 1st quarter of 2021 by  367 thousand cubic meters.

«KazTransOil» JSC owns 100% stake in the Main Water Pipeline LLP. Main Water Pipeline LLP is the owner of the main water pipeline «Astrakhan-Mangyshlak».

Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (BOT) is a subsidiary of «KazTransOil JSC (100% ownership). The management of production assets in Georgia is carried out through BOT.

Private limited Liability company «Petrotrans Limited» (PTL) is a subsidiary of «KazTransOil» JSC (100% ownership). PTL provides freight forwarding services along the Transcaucasian corridor, transportation services from the Caspian region through Georgia and carries out business and operational activities related to the provision of oil and petroleum products forwarding services.

Kazakh-Chinese Pipeline LLP is a joint venture of «KazTransOil» JSC (50%) and China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company Ltd. (50%), which owns the Kenkiyak–Kumkol and Atasu-Alashankou oil pipelines.

MunaiTas LLP is a joint venture of «KazTransOil» JSC (51%) and CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd (49%), created for the purpose of implementing a project for the design, financing, construction and operation of the Kenkiyak–Atyrau oil pipeline.
