A new office of Karaganda Oil Pipeline Department of «KazTransOil» JSC is now open

On June 10, the new administrative building of Karaganda Oil Pipeline Department (KOPD) of the Eastern branch of «KazTransOil» JSC is formally opened in Karaganda. The new three-story brick building was constructed following all sanitary and construction norms taking into account the analysis of the working schedule, number of staff, special conditions and requirements: comfortable and technically well-equipped offices, classrooms for labor protection and learning the state language, a conference hall, selector room for meetings, spacious dining room and other necessary facilities. «KazTransOil» JSC systematically implements the principles of social responsibility, takes an active part in social development and support for the population of the regions, in which it operates. In particular, under the approved Program of «KazMunayGas» NC JSC the sponsorship of «KazTransOil» JSC helped building the model multifunctional playgrounds in Kostanay, Kokshetau, Karaganda, Petropavlovsk, Semipalatinsk and Ust-Kamenogorsk in 2011. In 2012, the Company also helped finishing construction of the multi-purpose sports center in Pavlodar, while in 2013 «KazTransOil» JSC built the modern 170-seat kindergarten in Atasu village and donated it to Karaganda region. KOPD was founded in 1983 and is one of the most important structural units of the Eastern branch of «KazTransOil» JSC providing oil transportation via the international Kazakh-Chinese «Atasu-Alashankou» pipeline. KOPD includes «Atasu» HOPS, «Trudovoye» ERS, «Atasu» ERS, «Atasu-Alashankou» MP, OPS No. 8 of «Atasu-Alashankou» MP. Currently, it serves 810.3 km of the pipeline. The KOPD headcount is 410 people. The total volume of oil pumping since its formation and for 5 months in 2014 amounted to 183,6 million tons. «Atasu» HOPS located on the 681 km of «Pavlodar – Shymkent» MP transports crude oil by «Atasu – Alashankou» MP and ships oil by oil handling facilities. Oil is received here from Aktobe group of fields, Kumkol and West Siberian region of Russia followed by its transportation via «Atasu-Alashankou» MP and to Kazakhstan’s refineries. The volume of oil transportation via «Atasu-Alashankou» MP increased from 2,2 million tons in 2006 to 11,8 million tons in 2013, or 16% of the total volume of oil exports from the country. Two new oil pumping stations OPS – 8 and OPS - 10 located on «Atasu-Alashankou» MP were launched in December 2013 that increased its capacity up to 20 million tons per year.
