The meeting is being held in Minsk with the participation of the leaders of KazTransOil, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, Belneftekhim, Gomeltransneft Druzhba, Transneft, CNPC, MERO ČR, Transpetrol, MOL Hungary, Ukrtransnafta and Caspian Pipeline Consortium. Dimash Dossanov, the General Director (Chair of the Management Board), addressed his speech to the IAOT Governing Board members on behalf of KazTransOil.

«KazTransOil is the national operator on Kazakhstan’s main oil pipelines, providing oil transportation services for the domestic market and export. Today, about 50% of the total volume of oil produced in Kazakhstan and up to 97% of oil supplies to Kazakhstan’s refineries are transported through the KazTransOil pipeline network. This speaks about an important role the company plays in ensuring energy security in the country,» he noted.

The participants were also informed that KazTransOil marks its 20th anniversary in 2017. The company transported more than 815 million tons of oil for these years, and the turnover and the volume of oil transportation have been more than doubled. The international cooperation and the status of KazTransOil have been developed and improved, and the company now has strong partnership relations with oil transport leaders of neighboring countries and beyond. The stable customer base and reliable contractual relations with oil companies-shippers has been created.

During the meeting in the Belarusian capital, the participants discussed and made decisions on urgent issues of cooperation between oil transportation companies: performance of the IAOT permanent expert groups on energy efficiency, legal issues, supplies; the IAOT action plans for 2017 and 2018 have been updated; the regulations on international contest for oil pipeline transport employees called ‘Best by Profession’ and others have been signed.

Dimash Dossanov invited the IAOT participants to Astana to visit the next 8th Session of the IAOT Governing Board in September, as well as voiced his initiative on IAOT members visiting «Astana EXPO-2017» International Exhibition and «КАZENERGY» Eurasian Forum.
