General information
«Kazakhstan-China Pipeline» LLP (KCP) – a legal entity with foreign participation, the participants of which are «KazTransOil» JSC and the Chinese National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Corporation (hereinafter – CNODC) (50/50), created for the purpose of designing, building and operating the «Atasu-Alashankou» oil pipeline. KCP was formed on June 30, 2004 by the decision of «KazTransOil» JSC and CNODC in accordance with the» Agreement on Cooperation in the Oil and Gas field» concluded on May 17, 2004 between the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the China.
KCP is a subject of natural monopolies.
KCP is the owner of two main oil pipelines:

«Atasu-Alashankou», put into operation in 2006, with a length of 965.1 km (of which 2.2 km is on the territory of the China), with a diameter of 813 mm, with an initial capacity of 10 mln tons / year,
-
«Kenkiyak-Kumkol», put into operation in 2009, with a length of 794.263 km, a diameter of 813 mm, with an initial capacity of 10 mln tons/g.
Both main oil pipelines are sections of the Kazakhstan – China oil pipeline.
Currently, work is underway to increase the capacity of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline to 20 mln tons/year.
