The Georgian Maritime Transport Agency and the US Coast Guard Representative Office, represented by the head of the delegation Joe Ciaravella, a member of the group Eric Hatfield and Ekaterina Pargalava, the program coordinator, assessed the Batumi Sea Port for compliance with the International Port Security Program (ISPS Code) certificate received in March of this year.
During a comprehensive audit of the port security system, including checking access procedures, video surveillance, perimeter security, the quality of technical equipment, clear organization of the security service and compliance with the current ISPS certificate were noted.
The Batumi Sea Port continues to implement a set of measures to strengthen security standards and confirms its status as a reliable link in the international logistics infrastructure.
