As part of the President's message on increasing the volume of domestic goods in regulated procurement, KazTransOil JSC is consistently increasing its use of Kazakhstani-made products.
The project to lay 820 mm diameter pipeline in a 1020 mm diameter protective casing on the section from 6.357 to 6.775 km of the Pavlodar-Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant main oil pipeline is an example of such work. Pipes manufactured by the domestic producer Qarmet Tubular Products Aktau LLP were used in the implementation of this project.
The work was carried out on a complex 418-meter section passing under four intersecting railway tracks without stopping train traffic.
For reliable and safe operation, a pipeline was laid under the railroad tracks using new spiral-welded steel pipes with a diameter of 820 mm and a wall thickness of 12 mm in a protective casing with a diameter of 1020 mm and a wall thickness of 14 mm, manufactured in Kazakhstan.
The pipes for the main pipeline have a factory-applied polyethylene-based anti-corrosion coating which provides additional protection against external influences and extends their service life.
The pipe products were manufactured in the shortest time. Since the order was placed, KazTransOil JSC received the first batch of project pipes in 1.5 months.
Reconstruction work on the Pavlodar-Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery main oil pipeline section has been completed.
The project has become a vivid example of the successful use of domestic products confirming their high quality and compliance with international standards. The use of domestic materials in the modernization of pipelines contributes to industrial development, strengthens cooperation between Kazakh companies, and reduces dependence on imports.
The implementation of such projects strengthens industrial and technological potential of Kazakhstan reflecting the consistent policy of KazTransOil JSC to support domestic manufacturers.
