«KazTransOil» JSC informs about the completed reconstruction of Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau main oil pipeline (MP) and the second stage of reconstruction of Kalamkas-Karazhanbas-Aktau MP (Karazhanbas-Aktau section).
The project on Kalamkas-Karazhanbas-Aktau MP and Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau MP reconstruction is being implemented in connection with the expected reorientation of Buzachi oil towards Uzen HOPS (excluding volumes intended for delivery to the bitumen plant in Aktau) and development of promising fields of the Kazakh sector in the Caspian Sea. Within 2014-2017, «KazTransOil» JSC has been implementing three phases of the reconstruction of particular sections of Kalamkas-Karazhanbas-Aktau MP and Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau MP to ensure reliable and trouble-free transportation of Buzachi oil from Aktau towards Atyrau.
During the first phase of Kalamkas-Karazhanbas-Aktau MP reconstruction at Karazhanbas-Aktau section, 14 km pipe was replaced. Also, 25 km pipe of Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau MP was replaced and 78.6 km pipe of Zhetybai-Aktau section was reconstructed. The certificate of the State Acceptance Commission on commissioning of the facilities was signed on August 27, 2014.
As part of the second phase, 58.85 km pipe at Karazhanbas-Aktau section was replaced, and the selective replacement of 60.4 km pipe was performed at Uzen-Zhetybai section. The certificate of the State Acceptance Commission on commissioning of the facilities was signed in 26 of December 2014.
«KazTransOil» JSC completed the reconstruction of Uzen-Zhetybai-Aktau MP in full. The project on Kalamkas-Karazhanbas-Aktau MP reconstruction is planned to be finished in mid-2015.
The first phase of the project comprised 13.3 bln. tenge, and the second phase will cost 18.9 bln.tenge.
