Director General of KazTransOil JSC Talgat Kurmanbayev met with the Vice President of CNPC, President of PetroChina Huang Yongzhang. The parties noted effective cooperation in the field of oil transportation through the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline system and discussed further cooperation.
The investment project «Construction of Kazakhstan-China oil pipelines» was implemented within the framework of Kazakhstan's policy to create a multi-vector system for the transportation of hydrocarbons. The project participants are KazTransOil JSC, MunaiTas LLP and Kazakhstani-Chinese Pipeline LLP, each of which is the owner of the corresponding section of the Kazakhstan-China trunk oil pipeline system.
KazTransOil JSC is the national oil pipeline operator with a diversified network of oil pipelines 5.4 thousand km in length. It is part of the NC KazMunayGas JSC group.
Kazakhstani-Chinese Pipeline LLP – joint venture KazTransOil JSC (50%) and China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company Ltd. (50%) owns the Kenkiyak-Kumkol and Atasu-Alashankou oil pipelines.
MunaiTas LLP is a joint venture of KazTransOil JSC (51%) and CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd (49%), created for designing, financing, construction and operation of the Kenkiyak – Atyrau oil trunk pipeline.
