On October 8, 2025, as part of a working trip to the Western Region, Arman Kasenov, CEO (Chairman of the Management Board) of KazTransOil JSC, visited a number of production facilities of the Atyrau Oil Pipeline Administration (AOPA).
AOPA, founded in 1971, provides oil transportation to the domestic market, including supplies to the Atyrau Refinery (AR), to international markets via the Uzen – Atyrau–Samara main oil pipeline, as well as transshipment to the CPC-K JSC and Munaitas LLP oil pipeline systems in the direction of Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant and PKOP LLP.
Due to the scheduled preventive maintenance of the AR, which will last until October 25, 2025, most of the released oil volumes were redirected for export via the Uzen – Atyrau– Samara main oil pipeline. The throughput capacity of this route is 15 million tons of oil per year, which allows additional volumes to be pumped.
During the visit, Arman Kassenov inspected key production facilities, including Uralsk liner operating dispatcher station (LODS), B. Chagan oil pumping station (OPS), Sakharniy section pumping station (SPS), Inder oil pumping station (OPS), and T. Kassymov oil pumping station. .
At the Bolshoy Chagan OPS, the Chairman of the Management Board was informed about the oil pumping station's capabilities, the activities of the chemical analysis laboratory and the procedure for examining the quality of oil exported were demonstrated. At Sakharniy section pumping station, he examined the MP PPNB 7 crude oil heating furnace manufactured by the Kazakh company WKMBC JSC. At Inder OPS he inspected the work of a contractor for the construction of a site for the reception and launch of cleaning and diagnostic equipment.
A meeting was held with the management of AOPA, the Western Directorate for Operator Services, and Magistralny Vodovod LLP, during which current operations and operator activities at the facilities of CPC-K JSC, MunaiTas LLP, and Kazakhstan–China Pipeline LLP were reviewed.
In particular, reports were presented on organisational and technical measures to ensure reliability and prepare facilities for the autumn–winter period, on the progress of preventive maintenance carried out by the Western Directorate for Operator Services (WDOS) at the facilities of CPC-K JSC during the scheduled shutdown of the Tengiz–Novorossiysk main oil pipeline, and on the progress of preventive works during the planned shutdown of the Astrakhan–Mangyshlak main water pipeline.
The CEO drew the attention of the management of the visited facilities to the fact that ensuring the transportation of oil and the supply of water through the main water pipeline is one of the priority tasks for KazTransOil JSC. He emphasised the importance of completing the work on preparing the production infrastructure for the winter season with high quality, as well as the importance of preventive maintenance during scheduled shutdowns at pipeline facilities.
The working trip to the region continues, and the program includes meetings with labor collectives to discuss topical issues of production activities, working conditions, and company development priorities.
