The Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline reverse project is underway

This year, on November 27th as part of a trip to Beijing, the Kazakh delegation of KazTransOil JSC headed by its General Director Dimash Dosanov met with representatives of the Chinese participant headed by Meng Fanchun. The parties discussed the pressing issues of the implementation of the first phase of the reverse project of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline section, which is scheduled to be completed in 2019. As is known, the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline reverse project with an increase in productivity up to 6 million tons is a continuation of the project to increase the throughput capacity of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline system. After the reverse of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline, it will be possible to ensure the oil supply from the fields of the western regions of Kazakhstan to refineries (PKOP, Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant) and for export to the PRC.
