On June 20, 2025, KazTransOil JSC hosted a seminar-meeting on the development and revision of standard labor norms and regulations in the oil and gas industry, with the participation of Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Zhamauov.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the «Republican Research Institute for Labor Protection» under the Ministry, as well as leading oil and gas companies in the country. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize participants with the algorithm for developing regulatory documents, to exchange best practices with key industry organizations, and to establish a working group on labor regulation issues.
During the session, participants discussed the procedure for developing and approving standard labor norms, as well as the process for their revision by government agencies in accordance with current legislation. Particular attention was given to the experiences of KazTransOil JSC, InterGas Central Asia JSC, and the Center for Organizational Development and Standardization of the KMG Engineering LLP branch.
Additionally, the participants agreed to form a working group to collaboratively develop an activity plan for 2025 and exchanged views on pressing issues related to labor regulation in the oil and gas sector.
«This work is an important step towards improving the system of labor regulation in a strategically vital industry for the country, contributing to enhanced efficiency and safety of production processes in oil and gas organizations,» noted Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Zhamauov.
