«KazTransOil» JSC has partially completed overhaul of the Kazakh section of TON-2 oil pipeline

«KazTransOil» JSC has completed works planned for 2015 on selective replacing a part of the Kazakh section of Tuimazy - Omsk - Novosibirsk-2 (TON-2) pipeline with a total length of 57.6 km. The works were timely carried out by «Akniet-BN» LLP in the amount of 12 billion tenge. TON-2 is subject to major repair in order to ensure safe oil transportation through the Kazakh section of the pipeline, including the Russian oil for further deliveries to China through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan via the route of Omsk – Priirtyshsk – Atasu - Alashankou, in accordance with the agreement signed by the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the area of Russian oil transportation through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to China. The overhaul of individual sections of TON-2 pipeline has been performed since 2014, when individual sections of the pipeline with a total length of 40 km were replaced in the amount of 5,3 billion tenge. Thanks to the 2014 and 2015 works, the TON-2 capacity is now improved to 10 million tons per year. The plan is to totally replace 185.6 km of the pipeline within the framework of TON-2 oil pipeline overhaul project. «KazTransOil» JSC has been transporting oil through the Kazakh section of TON-2 MP stretching totally 185,57 km since 2007. In 2014, the volume of Russian oil transit through this pipeline totaled 6,8 million tons. The company manages a network of main oil pipelines stretching 5,4 thousand km and water pipelines 2 thousand km long, and also provides jobs for over 8 thousand people. The production facilities of «KazTransOil» JSC are located in Karaganda, Pavlodar, South Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Almaty, Aktobe and East Kazakhstan regions.
