«KazTransOil» JSC has implemented the project on construction of unmanned communication centers (UCCs) since 2013.
The project is mainly aimed at reduction of operating costs through new methods for operation of industrial-engineering communication systems.
The own communication centers will help reduce the maintenance costs by maximum cutting the number of scheduled maintenance works, using the technology of «condition-based maintenance» and downsizing the duty staff onsite.
The reliability of the industrial-engineering communication is provided by remote monitoring of all systems supporting the unmanned communication centers, improving the operation of equipment and backup of the main components of industrial-engineering communication systems.
«KazTransOil» JSC began construction of UCCs in 2013, when the first two centers were built for performing the tests at the facilities of the Western and Eastern branches of the company located in regions with different climatic conditions. These centers were put into operation in 2014. Two more units were built in 2015, and 15 more are expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2016. The company plans to build 36 UCCs in total at its production facilities by the end of 2016.
The new embedded technologies have already helped generating the economic benefits in the amount of 16.8 million tenge. After all of the UCCs are finally constructed, the company expects savings of about 6 million tenge from each center that will generally save production costs of «KazTransOil» JSC for about 216 million tenge per year.
