An electric power substation was commissioned at OPS 663 km of Uzen-Atyrau-Samara main oil pipeline.
The electric power substation 220/110/10 kV at OPS 663 km has been upgraded to increase the power supply within the framework of the overall OPS reconstruction. The electric substation is now equipped with a modern integrated system of relay protection, control, automation and alarm based on the multi-function microprocessor relay protection and automation devices and measuring tools. The electric substation is one of the largest and most capital-intensive facilities within OPS 663 km reconstruction project, which is carried out within the framework of the second stage of the second phase of construction of Kazakhstan-Chinese main oil pipelines network targeted at increasing the capacities of Western Kazakhstan - Western China oil pipeline system. As the design concept prescribes, OPS 663 km will serve as the head oil pumping station of Kenkiyak-Atyrau main oil pipeline with the reverse oil pumping.
The commissioning certificate was signed on June 14, 2016. The cost of the electric power substation reconstruction amounted to 2,2 billion tenge, including VAT.
