The oil quantity and quality metering system, which allows controlling the supply of oil from the deposit of «Karazhanbasmunay» JSC to the bitumen plant, was commissioned at Mangistau Oil Pipeline Department of the Western branch of «KazTransOil» JSC. The project cost amounted to over 1.3 bln. tenge, including VAT.
It is an automated system for measuring oil quantity and quality that helps define an accurate amount of oil in the course of accounting operations.
The relevant equipment is placed in a technological building equipped with heating, gas control, fire alarm, natural and emergency ventilation system with audible and visual alarms, lighting. The system consists of two operating and one reserve measuring lines, the total consumption of which ranges from 350 to 1,400 tons/hour.
The system was put on the register of the state traceability system of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 18, 2015.
