$At the last regular annual General meeting of shareholders of KazTransOil JSC, the amount of dividend payment for 2019 per common share was approved – 118 tenge, which is 13% more than in the previous year.
The General Director of KazTransOil JSC Dimash Dossanov said, that the Company will send an amount of 45,386 billion tenge for the payment of dividends for 2019. Dividend payments will begin on 18 June, 2020.
KazTransOil JSC decided to allocate the entire consolidated net income of the company in the amount of 45,1 billion tenge and an additional 264,7 million tenge from the retained earnings of previous years for the payment of dividends for 2019, following the order of the country's leadership to pay dividends in the amount of up to 100 percent of net income. Thus, the total amount of dividend payments to shareholders will be 45,386 billion tenge», - D.Dossanov explained.
The increase in the amount of dividend payments is due to a 17% increase in the company's consolidated net profit in 2019 compared to the same period last year. For comparison, at the end of 2018, the total amount allocated for payment to shareholders amounted to 40 billion tenge or 104 tenge per ordinary share.
Since the launch of the «People's IPO» in 2012, KazTransOil JSC is one of the few companies from the representative list of the KASE index that consistently pays dividends.
«Taking into account the planned dividends for 2019, the total amount of dividend payments for the entire period from the moment the company entered the «People's IPO» will be about 375 billion tenge. The total amount of dividends paid per one share will be 975 tenge, i.e. 134% of the placement price. Over the past five years, KazTransOil JSC has been paying dividends in excess of net profit» - the head of the Company’s had made statistics.
