In 2025, KazTransOil JSC took an active part in the implementation of the nationwide environmental initiative «Taza Qazaqstan», aimed at fostering a culture of responsible environmental stewardship and improving the ecological condition of territories.
Environmental results
As part of community clean-up days and environmental campaigns, the Company’s employees cleaned more than 338 hectares of land, planted over 10,000 trees, and collected and removed more than 148 tonnes of waste.
The activities were carried out both at the Company’s production facilities and beyond them – in city parks, embankments, historical sites, as well as on school grounds – contributing to the creation of a safe and comfortable environment for local communities.
The Company’s employees also actively participated in the large-scale national environmental relay «1 Person – 5 Trees», demonstrating a high level of social responsibility.
In total, approximately 3,000 employees of KazTransOil JSC took part in environmental initiatives.
Biodiversity conservation: a systematic approach
Alongside clean-up and greening activities, the Company consistently implements initiatives aimed at preserving ecosystems and biodiversity.
In particular, Magistralny Vodovod LLP, a wholly owned subsidiary of KazTransOil JSC, released more than 52,000 juvenile sturgeon – including beluga, ship sturgeon, Russian sturgeon, sterlet and stellate sturgeon — into the Kigash River in 2025. For comparison, in 2024 more than 23,600 beluga juveniles were released into the Kigash River, confirming the Company’s consistent and long-term approach to environmental protection.
It is important to note that efforts to replenish sturgeon populations will continue this year.
By actively participating in environmental initiatives, KazTransOil JSC’s employees contribute to the development of environmental awareness, increased public responsibility and the promotion of cleanliness as an essential element of national identity. The Company intends to continue supporting the «Taza Qazaqstan» initiative and to systematically implement measures to expand green spaces, protect the environment and preserve biodiversity as part of its ESG strategy.
