As part of a meeting held at KazTransOil JSC, chaired by Askhat Khasenov, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC, the company summed up its operating results for 2025 and outlined priority objectives for the current year.

General Director of «KazTransOil» JSC Arman Kassenov reported that, based on the results of the past year, the company ensured the stable and uninterrupted operation of Kazakhstan’s trunk oil pipeline system.

In 2025, crude oil transportation via KazTransOil’s trunk pipeline system amounted to 45.1 million tonnes, representing the highest level recorded over the past seven years. Crude oil throughput exceeded 36 billion tonne-kilometers.

Crude oil supplies to Kazakhstan’s domestic refineries in 2025 totaled 18 million tonnes, up 4% year-on-year.

Across the Batumi Oil Terminal LLC Group and Petrotrans Limited, the volume of transshipped petroleum products and gas during the reporting period reached 1.9 million tonnes, an increase of 3% compared to 2024. Total cargo transshipment in 2025 amounted to 7.2 million tonnes, exceeding the previous year’s level by 10%.

Amid current global market conditions, the national operator continues to actively ensure reliable crude oil transportation while further diversifying its export routes.

The meeting also reviewed KazTransOil’s energy efficiency performance. Through the optimization of technological operating modes and the introduction of new approaches, the company saved 9 million cubic meters of natural gas and 1,675 kWh of electricity. The economic effect amounted to KZT 361 million, while greenhouse gas emissions were reduced by 2.8 tonnes. As a result of systematic measures aimed at reducing energy consumption, the specific energy consumption per crude oil throughput in 2025 declined by 2.5% compared to 2024, while over the period from 2010 to 2025 this indicator decreased by 60%.

In addition, as part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence declared by the President, KazTransOil plans to implement a number of projects using AI technologies. In particular, the company plans to introduce an information system for pipeline integrity management, which will enhance the safety and reliability of crude oil transportation, reduce incident rates and maintenance costs, and ensure compliance with industrial and environmental safety requirements.

KazTransOil also continues to improve social and living conditions for employees at its production facilities. In 2025, more than 10,000 square meters of social and welfare premises were renovated, and new modern facilities were commissioned.
