In 2025, KazTransOil JSC ensured the stable and uninterrupted operation of its trunk oil pipeline system by implementing a comprehensive set of measures aimed at diversifying export routes and expanding international cooperation.
Amid ongoing volatility in global energy markets, the Company—working closely with shippers and international partners—carried out extensive coordination and negotiations. As a result, part of export volumes was redirected from the CPC pipeline system to alternative routes, including the seaports of Novorossiysk and Ust-Luga, the Adamova Zastava crude oil delivery point, and the Atasu–Alashankou oil pipeline. Transit to the Republic of Uzbekistan and supplies to the Kyrgyz Republic were resumed, while KazTransOil strengthened its presence in Europe by opening a representative office in Poland.
In 2025, crude oil transportation via KazTransOil’s trunk pipeline system alone amounted to 45.120 million tonnes, exceeding the 2024 level by 1% and marking the highest result in the past seven years.
Crude oil throughput across the trunk pipeline system reached 36.002 billion tonne-kilometers, up 1% year-on-year. KazTransOil’s consolidated crude oil throughput totaled 46.057 billion tonne-kilometers, representing a 2% increase compared to 2024.
Supplies of crude oil to Kazakhstan’s domestic refineries in 2025 amounted to 18.045 million tonnes, up 4% from the previous year, including:
Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP – 5.345 million tonnes
PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP – 6.226 million tonnes
Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant LLP – 5.778 million tonnes
CASPI BITUM Joint Venture LLP – 0.696 million tonnes.
Crude oil transportation along the Atyrau–Samara section of the Uzen–Atyrau–Samara trunk pipeline totaled 11.134 million tonnes, up 7% year-on-year. Within this volume, deliveries of Kazakh crude to the Transneft pipeline system for onward supply to Germany increased by 44%, reaching 2.146 million tonnes.
Transportation via the TON-2 pipeline section located in Kazakhstan amounted to 11.867 million tonnes, remaining at the 2024 level.
A total of 11.086 million tonnes of crude oil was transferred into the Atasu–Alashankou trunk pipeline, down 1% compared to 2024.
Oil transfers into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium – Kazakhstan (CPC-K) JSC system amounted to 3.559 million tonnes, a 15% decrease year-on-year.
Crude oil loading onto tankers at the Port of Aktau, using KazTransOil facilities, totaled 3.226 million tonnes, down 4% from 2024. Shipments along the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) route declined by 11% to 1.263 million tonnes.
Through the Kazakhstan–China Pipeline LLP system, 19.500 million tonnes of crude oil were transported, representing a 4% increase year-on-year. Throughput reached 17.471 billion tonne-kilometers, also up 4%.
Transportation via the MunaiTas North-West Pipeline Company LLP amounted to 6.129 million tonnes, a 6% increase compared to 2024. Throughput rose by 8% to 2.586 billion tonne-kilometers.
Across the Batumi Oil Terminal LLC Group and Petrotrans Limited, the volume of transshipped petroleum products and gas during the reporting period reached 1.913 million tonnes, up 3% year-on-year. Total cargo transshipment in 2025 amounted to 7.284 million tonnes, exceeding the 2024 level by 10%.
Supplies of fresh water to consumers in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau and Mangystau regions via the Astrakhan–Mangyshlak water pipeline totaled 25.911 million cubic meters, which is 2% lower than in 2024.
