The work of the pumping units of Kigach line operation dispatcher station, being in charge of sampling and preparation of water from the arm of the Volga Kigach River for further water pumping through Astrakhan - Mangyshlak main waterline, was suspended at 10:27 pm (Astana time) on June 9, 2016. The reason for the shutdown was the water discharge on the process pipeline of the pumping station of Kigach line operation dispatcher station.
In order to reduce the water supply via Astrakhan - Mangyshlak waterline to consumers as much as possible, the water reserves in the existing reservoirs of «KazTransOil» JSC were used.
After completion of repairs, the pumping units of Kigach line operation dispatcher station were relaunched, and the water supply via Astrakhan - Mangyshlak waterline was resumed at 01:24 pm (Astana time) on June 10, 2016.
