Trammo, the American corporation jointly with Wondernet Express, the international logistic company will invest about 20 Million US Dollars in construction of the mineral fertilizers terminal in Batumi Sea Port for transshipment of granulated carbamide. Agreement of joint investments in the project is signed in Batumi by President of Trammo Mr. Edward Weiner and the founder of Wondernet Exspress Investment Group Mr. Dimitri Abdushelishvili.
This Agreement envisages construction in Batumi port of the transit terminal and storage facilities intended for receipt, storage and transshipment of the mineral fertilizers. Storage facilities are designed for simultaneous storage of 60 thousand tons of the mineral fertilizers. Design of the transit terminal is fit for any climatic conditions. At the initial stage the industrial capacities of the terminal allow to transship and store about 1.2 mil ton of the mineral fertilizers per year.
Development of the project goes on with participation of the leading design institutes of Europe and the world’s largest suppliers of equipment for storing and loading of cargoes aboard the ships. The Terminal will be equipped with the high-technology equipment provided with the latest systems of dust control and filtration. This will eliminate possibility of any harmful effect on the environment.
The project covers development of the shortest and the most convenient logistic corridor from the Central Asian countries to the Black Sea implementing with participation of Batumi Sea Port Ltd., Georgian Railways and the Government of Georgia. The Terminal will have the regional importance and promote economic progress of Georgia.
