KazTransOil JSC continuing the work of the «Astrakhan-Mangyshlak» water pipeline

On September 10, 2020, the pipe of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak main water pipeline (owned by the Magistral’nyi Vodovod LLP) was depressurized in the Zhylyoy district of Atyrau region. Due to the accident, the operation of the water pipeline is suspended.

Currently, restoration work is underway with the involvement of employees of KazTransOil JSC, which provides services for maintenance and repair of the water pipeline. 22 emergency recovery specialists are working at the scene. 14 units of special equipment were involved. On the «Kigach-Kulsary» section, water supply is provided in the mode of reduced water consumption.

Magistral’nyi Vodovod LLP is included into the KazTransOil JSC Groups. Manages the main water pipeline and adjacent water distribution networks with a total length of 1945,1 km. It provides water to the population of Atyrau and Mangistau regions, and also delivers water to the Uzen, Zhetybai, Karazhanbas, Kalamkas and Tengiz oil fields.

It transports oil to Kazakhstan's refineries and for export in 5 directions: Atyrau – Samara and Kazakhstan-China oil pipelines, the port of Aktau (loading oil into tankers), the railway (loading into tanks), and transshipment to the CPC system.
