In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ensuring the reconstruction and modernization of the «Astrakhan-Mangyshlak» main water pipeline (Protocol No. 21-01-7.8 of 22.04.2021), currently the Main Waterline LLP (hereinafter - the Partnership), which is a 100% subsidiary of «KazTransOil» JSC, is working on the implementation of the project «Reconstruction and expansion of «Astrakhan – Mangyshlak» main water pipeline, 1st stage» (hereinafter - the Project).
The project is aimed at increasing the throughput capacity of the «AstrakhanMangyshlak» main water pipeline (from 110 to 170 thousand m3/day) and updating worn-out equipment to meet the existing shortage and prospective growth in the volume of water consumption in the Atyrau and Mangistau regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of financing of the Project on November, 25, 2022, the Partnership concluded a Credit Facility Agreement with Halyk Bank JSC on the following terms:
- loan amount - up to 66 700 000 000 tenge;
- loan currency - tenge;
- loan term - up to 120 months;
- interest - base interest rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan
+ 2.5% per annum;
- security - guarantee of Samruk- Kazyna JSC.
