KazTransOil JSC Implemented Four Projects to Modernize Pumping Facilities in 2024

 28.01.2025    114
In 2024, KazTransOil JSC completed four projects aimed at modernizing trunk and booster pump stations to ensure reliable oil transportation.

At the «Zhetybai» oil pumping station of the «Uzen – Zhetybai – Aktau» trunk pipeline, a modernized main pump station was constructed as part of the reconstruction efforts. Three main pumping units were installed, each with a nominal capacity of 1,200 m³ of oil. The efficiency of the pumping equipment increased from 42% to 70%, resulting in a 15% reduction in energy consumption for oil transportation along the «Zhetybai – Uzen» section. The expected annual energy savings amount to up to 1.2 million kWh.

At the «Pavlodar» head oil pumping station of the «Pavlodar – Shymkent» trunk pipeline, two booster pump units were replaced. This modernization increased the efficiency of the pumping equipment from 35% to 75%, reduced specific energy consumption by 23%, and resulted in annual energy savings of 3.3 million kWh.

Additionally, four diesel-powered pumping units were installed at the B. Zhumagaliyev head oil pumping station and the «Chulak-Kurgan» head oil pumping station of the «Pavlodar – Shymkent» trunk pipeline. These units are designed to operate in autonomous mode during prolonged power outages caused by the power transmission company, thereby enhancing the reliability of KazTransOil JSC’s production facilities. These modernization projects reflect the company’s commitment to increasing operational efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring uninterrupted oil transportation.
